The Story of

Welcome to the website of London based Artist / Photographer Phil Bower.

 

My art has slowly progressed over the years to where i'am today & what you find in this website.

After an early interest in Art (My Mother is an Artist, Brother a Musician & Sister a Photographer!) i went to study a Art & Photography Foundation Course & since then have spread my time between the two.

I lived in South East Asia for 7 years & travelled a lot on my trusty motorbike to off road & harder to reach corners of Asia, building up & Selling my Travel images from my base in Chiang Mai.

Since returning i concentrated more on my paintings, which have been inspired by my love of the 60's & Mid Century era, also with a nod to my Modernist life, with a lover of style, scooters, Architecture & music of that time. Painting what i would have liked on my own walls (as i knew a lot of it may end there!)

I set up my first website 'modenough'.

Around this time i've been photographing Mod inspired events, such as the Brighton Mod Weekender & building up my portfolio.

I have also when called upon photographed Weddings (A recent Motorbike trip around India also included photographing a Friend / Colleagues Daughter's Wedding in Tamal Nadu.)

Although i do not promote myself as a Wedding Photographer, i'am available & have a lot of experience in this field, along with Family / Lifestyle Portraiture & Bands. (i've completed recent commission's for bands photography & cover artwork.)

All my photography tends to blend both modern digital photography & film photography.

​

Over the years i've had my work on magazine covers, TV Adverts, Club walls, a well known large company Boardroom wall, DVD artwork & sold in Galleries & have had various Exhibitions & Sold Worldwide.

This Website is a coming together of all my photography & Art, in one place for the first time.
